Where is Saint Mae located?
Saint Mae is based in Denver, Colorado. We work with clients both locally and across the country through in-person and virtual appointments.
If you’re in Colorado, you can book a private appointment to see pieces in person. Not local? Most of our clients work with us virtually, and we’ve designed the process to feel just as personal from wherever you are.
Can I book an appointment?
Absolutely. We offer both virtual consultations and private in-person appointments in Denver.
Whether you’re choosing an engagement ring, trying to find the right band, building a stack, or starting something completely custom, we’ll walk through it together.
I don’t know exactly what I want. Can you help?
That’s completely normal. You don’t need to show up knowing stone shapes, setting styles, or exactly how you want your stack to look.
Bring us the things you’re drawn to, the things you know you don’t want, or even just a general feeling. We’ll help you narrow it down from there.
WEDDING BANDS + STACKS
How do I know if one of your bands will fit my engagement ring?
This is one of our most common questions.
Because engagement rings vary so much in setting height, stone shape, width, and proportion, the same wedding band can sit completely differently against two different rings.
Send us a few clear photos of your engagement ring from the top and side, along with any measurements you have, and we can help recommend which Saint Mae bands are most likely to work.
If you want to see them together before ordering, our Home Try On is also available for select bands.
What is the Home Try On?
Our Home Try On lets you experience select Saint Mae wedding bands with your own engagement ring before committing to your final piece.
Choose up to three available styles and we’ll send silver samples for you to try at home. A refundable deposit is required and can be applied toward your final Saint Mae order.
We currently offer one round of Home Try On per client.

What if I love a Saint Mae band but it doesn’t fit perfectly around my engagement ring?
That’s where made-to-order gets good.
Because each Saint Mae band is made specifically for you, many of our designs can be adjusted to better complement your engagement ring. Depending on the design, we may be able to modify the curve, opening, proportions, or stone placement to create a more intentional fit.
Some changes may require custom design work and additional fees. Send us photos of your ring and we’ll talk through what’s possible.
Do I need to have purchased my engagement ring from Saint Mae to order a wedding band?
Not at all.
We create wedding bands for all kinds of engagement rings. Every Saint Mae band is made to order, which gives us more flexibility to consider your existing ring when determining sizing, proportions, and fit.
The goal is for the finished stack to feel like it belongs together.
Can you create a custom band specifically around my engagement ring?
Yes!
If one of our existing bands isn’t quite right, we can create a custom-fitted wedding band designed around the exact proportions of your engagement ring.
We’ll use photos, measurements, and/or your ring itself when necessary to design the fit, then you’ll have the opportunity to review the design before it goes into production.
How far in advance should I order my wedding band?
Earlier is always better.
Because Saint Mae jewelry is made to order, we recommend beginning the process at least 3 months before your wedding. If you’re considering custom work, we recommend allowing even more time.
If your wedding is coming up sooner, reach out. We’ll always tell you honestly what we can and can’t make happen within your timeline.
MADE TO ORDER + CUSTOM
Why is Saint Mae jewelry made to order?
Because we don’t believe fine jewelry should be mass produced.
Rather than keeping large amounts of inventory sitting on a shelf, Saint Mae pieces are created specifically for the person who chooses them, in her ring size and selected metal.
It allows us to produce in limited numbers, make thoughtful adjustments when needed, and create something that feels far more personal than pulling a ring out of a case.
Can I customize an existing Saint Mae design?
Usually, yes.
Depending on the piece, we may be able to adjust things like metal, stone selection, proportions, band shape, or fit.
Small modifications can often be incorporated into the made-to-order process. Larger changes may move the piece into custom design and will be quoted accordingly.
If you have something in mind, ask. We love figuring out how to make a piece feel more like yours.
Do you create completely custom engagement rings?
Yes!
We offer custom engagement design for clients who want something built specifically around their stone, their story, or an idea they haven’t been able to find anywhere else.
You’ll work directly with Carli throughout the process, from initial direction and stone sourcing through design, CAD approval, and production.
You absolutely do not need to come to us with a finished design. That’s our job.
Can you source a center stone for me?
Yes! Stone sourcing is one of our favorite parts of the process.
We work with a small network of trusted suppliers to source natural diamonds, lab-grown diamonds, sapphires, and unique gemstones based on your priorities, aesthetic, and budget.
Once we understand what you’re looking for, we’ll curate options rather than sending you hundreds of stones to sort through yourself.
Can you work with a stone I already own?
In many cases, yes.
If you have an heirloom diamond, gemstone, or existing center stone you’d like to incorporate into a new piece, reach out with photos and any documentation you have.
We’ll first evaluate whether the stone is structurally appropriate for the design and for resetting.
Do you redesign heirloom jewelry?
We take on a limited number of heirloom projects.
Our focus is primarily bridal, so heirloom redesigns are considered on a case-by-case basis, particularly when the finished piece will become an engagement ring, wedding piece, or something closely aligned with the Saint Mae aesthetic.
Send us a little information about what you have and what you’re hoping to create, and we’ll let you know if it feels like the right fit.
MATERIALS + STONES
What metals do you use?
Our collection is primarily made in solid 14k gold, including yellow gold and white gold. Select pieces may also be available in rose gold, 18k gold, or platinum by request.
We never use gold plating for our fine jewelry.
Why does yellow gold sometimes look different from photo to photo?
Gold can shift quite a bit depending on lighting, photography, surrounding colors, and even the screen you’re viewing it on.
Our 14k yellow gold has a consistent alloy and color, but it may appear warmer or more saturated in certain photographs than it does in person.
If you’re unsure, reach out and we’re happy to send additional photos in different lighting before your piece goes into production.
Where do your diamonds and gemstones come from?
We source our stones through a small network of trusted industry partners and prioritize responsible, ethical sourcing.
For custom work, we source each stone intentionally based on what matters most to the client, whether that’s origin, cut, color, character, budget, or something wonderfully imperfect that simply feels right.
We’re much more interested in finding the right stone than the most conventional one.
Do you work with lab-grown diamonds?
Absolutely. We work with both natural and lab-grown diamonds and are happy to source either for custom engagement rings.
Both are real diamonds with the same chemical and physical properties. The primary difference is how they’re formed and, increasingly, their respective pricing and resale markets.
We’ll give you the information and let you decide which makes the most sense for you.
Do you work with alternative gemstones?
Absolutely. Some of our favorite rings do!
Sapphires, opals, garnets, turquoise, and other gemstones can create an engagement ring that feels far more individual than a traditional diamond.
That said, not every gemstone has the same durability. We’ll always talk with you honestly about whether a stone makes sense for the way you intend to wear it.
SIZING
How do I know my ring size?
For the most accurate measurement, we recommend having your finger professionally sized by a local jeweler.
Ring size can fluctuate slightly depending on temperature, time of day, travel, and other factors, so there isn’t always one perfectly static measurement.
For wider bands or stacks, sizing may also feel slightly different than it does with a delicate single ring. If you’re unsure, reach out before ordering and we’ll help.
Do you offer quarter sizes?
Yes. Because our rings are made to order, quarter sizing is available for most designs.
If you don’t see your exact size listed online, contact us before placing your order.
Can my ring be resized?
Many Saint Mae rings can be resized, but not every design allows for it.
Eternity bands and certain stone-heavy designs can be particularly difficult or impossible to resize because of the stones extending around the band.
If you’re unsure about sizing before ordering, please reach out first. It’s always easier to get it right before production begins.
ORDERING + PAYMENT
How long will my order take?
All Saint Mae pieces are made to order and require approximately 3-4 for production before shipping.
Custom engagement rings and more involved custom work may require more, depending on stone sourcing, design complexity, and the number of revisions.
Production begins once all design details, sizing, and payment requirements have been finalized.
Can you rush an order?
Sometimes.
Because our pieces are made individually, rush availability depends on the design and our current production schedule. If you have a specific date in mind, contact us before placing your order.
If we can make it happen, we will.
What payment options do you offer?
Orders can be paid in full, and select custom projects may be eligible for split payments.
Financing through Affirm is also available on qualifying purchases.
For custom projects, your payment schedule and production requirements will be outlined before we begin.
SHIPPING + DELIVERY
How will my jewelry be shipped?
All Saint Mae fine jewelry is shipped fully insured with tracking.
Because of the value of the contents, a signature is always required upon delivery.
Tracking information will be sent once your piece is complete and on its way.
Do you ship throughout the United States?
Yes. We work with clients nationwide and ship throughout the United States.
We offer international shipping so you can shop Saint Mae from anywhere in the world. Please note that each country has its own taxes and duties, which are the responsibility of the client.
International orders may take a few extra days to arrive due to customs processing.
Can I pick my order up in Denver?
Yes. Local pickup can be arranged for Denver-area clients by appointment.
RETURNS + EXCHANGES
What is your return policy?
Because Saint Mae jewelry is made specifically for you, all purchases are final sale.
This includes ready-to-wear pieces, made-to-order jewelry, custom designs, modified or resized pieces, and engraved jewelry. We do not offer returns, exchanges, store credit, or refunds.
If your piece arrives with a defect or an issue related to craftsmanship, please reach out as soon as possible. We’ll review it individually and work with you to repair or replace the piece as appropriate.

Can I cancel or change my order after placing it?
Contact us as soon as possible.
Because production can begin quickly on made-to-order pieces, we can’t guarantee changes or cancellations once your order has entered production.
Custom work cannot be cancelled once design, sourcing, or production has begun.
CARE + REPAIRS
How should I care for my Saint Mae jewelry?
Your Saint Mae piece was made to be worn, loved, and kept for years to come. A little care goes a long way in preserving its beauty.
We recommend removing your jewelry before workouts, heavy lifting, swimming, cleaning, gardening, or working with harsh chemicals. Store pieces separately when you’re not wearing them to help prevent scratching.
For everyday cleaning, warm water, a small amount of gentle soap, and a soft toothbrush are usually all you need.
Certain gemstones require more delicate care, so always follow the care instructions included with your piece.
Can I wear my jewelry every day?
Most Saint Mae bridal jewelry is designed with everyday wear in mind, but fine jewelry is still fine jewelry.
Gold can scratch, settings can wear over time, and even diamonds can be damaged with enough force. Softer gemstones such as opals require especially mindful wear.
We recommend having frequently worn pieces professionally inspected at least once a year so any wear can be addressed before it becomes a larger issue.
Should I insure my jewelry?
For engagement rings and other significant fine jewelry purchases, absolutely.
Jewelry insurance can protect you against circumstances that a craftsmanship warranty cannot, including theft, loss, accidental damage, and lost center stones.
We can provide documentation for your Saint Mae purchase to help with the insurance process.
